LWVPA Seeks Voter Services Coordinator

The League of Women Voters of Pennsylvania (“LWVPA,” “The League”) seeks a passionate and committed Voter Services Coordinator to join our team. As the League of Women Voters of PA (LWVPA) Voter Services Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role as a valued member of our dynamic and passionate team. A successful Voter Service Coordinator will be passionate about community and voter organizing, with an ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds and experiences across Pennsylvania. The Coordinator will work with our 30 local Leagues and communities to organize and mobilize members, supporters, volunteers, organizations, and the public to help achieve the League’s  mission to empower voters and defend democracy. This person will play an important role in developing an organizing strategy aimed at building civic capacity and voter empowerment at the state and local levels to secure transformational electoral accomplishments and grow the organization.

Position Responsibilities (to include, but not limited to):

  • Develop and implement voter services and engagement plans to build power in diverse communities.

  • Support the development and distribution of Vote411, LWVPA’s voter services tool.

  • Mobilize and strengthen local Leagues in Pennsylvania, foster cooperation among local Leagues, and offer professional support to help local Leagues achieve their goals, especially in the area of community organizing and voter engagement.

  • Support the goals and activities of the LWVPA statewide Voter Services Committee and LWVPA Poll Worker Project, which will include organizing and facilitating bi-weekly evening meetings of the Voter Services Committee.

  • Build strong, trusted, and authentic relationships with League leaders and partner organizations.

  • Provide support and expertise to leverage legislative, advocacy, and program agendas to build grassroots organizing power to advocacy and coalition building efforts.

  • Mobilize the public to engage in the redistricting process through our partnership with Fair Districts PA.

  • Develop and host various organizing and advocacy trainings for diverse audiences.

  • Additional Spanish, Chinese, or other language skills preferred, but not required.

Location and Time Expectations:
This position will be remote, with the expectation that the Voter Services Coordinator will travel to Harrisburg, local League meetings/events, and to meet with the Executive Director and Senior Program Manager, as needed.  Residency in Southwest PA is preferred but not required. The Voter Services Coordinator will need to be available for some travel, as well as evenings and weekends, as necessary.

Compensation and Benefits:
This is a one-year, salaried opportunity ranging from $43,000 to $48,000, complemented by competitive benefits and time-off package. Continuation beyond a year is dependent on funding and a successful annual evaluation.
