The Primary Election is One Week Away!

The 2023 primary election is one week away! Polls are open on Tuesday, May 16 from 7 AM to 8 PM. Here is all of the election day information you need:

Voting by mail: Today is the deadline to request your mail or absentee ballot. Ballots must be RECEIVED by your county election office on election day – May 16 – at 8 PM. Postmarks do not count. If your ballot is not yet mailed, we recommend dropping it off at a ballot drop box or your county election office. Find a drop-off location in your county here.

Finally, to ensure your vote is counted, follow all instructions carefully. Find a step-by-step guide for completing your ballot here.

Voting in person: Planning to vote in person? Find your polling place here. When voting at a polling place for the first time, you must show proof of identification, either with a photo or not. Learn more about the types of ID you can show here.

Research your candidates: Unfamiliar with your candidates? We’ve got you covered! Our FREE online tool, Vote411, is a "one-stop-shop" for election-related information. Using Vote411, you can see what will be on your ballot based on your address, choose candidates based on information they posted in their own words, and have a personalized ballot emailed to you that you can take with you when you vote.

Defending democracy: Already made your voting plan? Consider supporting the League this election season! Our work to protect elections and provide voters with nonpartisan information about the candidates and the issues they care about is critically important. Your support helps ensure that Pennsylvanians can have their voices heard at the ballot box and advocate for the issues that affect their communities.

Your support – at any amount – will help advance the League's mission and impact during this critical election year. Thank you for your generosity. I’m grateful for supporters like you who make our work possible.
