Be Prepared for November 8, Election Day!

Election day is November 8, and we want to make sure that all Pennsylvania voters are prepared to cast their ballots. To find your polling place and learn about the races in your area, visit vote411.org, the League’s one-stop-shop for election information.

Prior to election day, voters should make sure their
voter registration is up-to-date, request a mail-in ballot if desired, or make a plan to vote in person.

Important Election Deadlines:
October 24, 2022: Last day to register to vote in the November election

November 1, 2022: Last day to apply for a mail-in or civilian absentee ballot (ALL registered voters in Pennsylvania can apply for a mail-in ballot)

November 8, 2022:
GENERAL ELECTION DAY: polls are open from 7 A.M. to 8 P.M.

November 8, 2022: Last day for County Boards of Elections to receive voted mail-in and civilian absentee ballots (must be received by 8:00 P.M. on election day - postmarks are not enough).

November 15, 2022: Last day for County Boards of Elections to receive voted military and overseas mail-in and civilian absentee ballots (must be received by 8:00 P.M. on the 15th and submitted for delivery no later than 11:59 P.M. on November 7th)


Deadlines for returning your mail-in or civilian absentee ballot:
There are two ways to return a mail-in (aka absentee) ballot.

By mail: Ballots must be received by 8 P.M. on November 8, 2022. Postmarks do not enough.

In-person: Ballots must be returned to your county board of elections office or other designated location or drop box by 8 P.M. Find a drop off location
