The Six Gatekeepers and PA's Legislative Rules

Did You Know that Pennsylvania's General Assembly Has a Legislative Fairness Score of Zero?  Learn how the internal rules in the PA General Assembly work against cooperation and consensus and why now is the perfect time for you to work to "Fix Harrisburg."

Our speaker will be Suzanne Broughton of Fair Districts PA and the League of Women Voters of Greater Pittsburgh.

The procedural rules in the Pennsylvania Legislative create a broken process, allowing just a few Committee Chairs to decide which Bills are considered for discussion and which ones are brought up for a vote. Under the current process, legislative power does not have to be shared, representation is limited, citizen priorities can be ignored, and bipartisan cooperation is not considered important.

Together with Suzanne Broughton let's learn what we as citizens can do to promote a change in the PA. legislative process, and why now is the time to act.

Register here to attend.
