The League of Women Voters of the Southeastern Pennsylvania Region (LWV-SEPR)
was established in 1962, as an inter-league organization (ILO) encompassing
the five counties of Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery and Philadelphia. The mission of the inter-league organization is to promote responsibility through active, informed participation of citizens in government and to act upon selected government issues. Throughout SEPR's history and today these Leagues speak and act with one voice on issues of region-wide concern including regional cooperation among local governments, transportation, infrastructure, energy, environmental protection, land use, and community media access. SEPR originally, coordinated the League's region-wide voters' service and citizen education activities. |
