As an inter-League organization, the League of Women Voters of the Southeastern
Pennsylvania Region (SEPR) studies issues that affect our five county region.
LWV-SEPR is comprised of the Leagues in Bucks, Chester, Delaware and Montgomery Counties and Philadelphia.

• The inter-League organization pays particular attention to infrastructure,
  energy, public transportation, and public education and government access
  to media. During 2006- 2007, our activities included:
• testimony before the Governor's Public Transportation and Reform
  Commission
• on September 15, 2006 at the office of the Delaware Valley Regional
  Planning Commission.
• a talk by and interview with the Philadelphia Inquirer Pennsylvania
  editor about the regional role of the Inquirer on November 9th, 2006
  at the Restaurant School in Philadelphia.
• holding a forum about potential reforms for the Pennsylvania Supreme
  Court featuring Duquesne law professor, Bruce Ledewitz discussing his
  platform for reform for reforming the court with Rutgers University
  law professor, Robert Williams and Pennsylvanians for Modern Courts
  Associate Director, Shira Goodman as Respondents. Five other Pennsylvania
  Leagues also conducted programs on this subject. This event was held
  at Penn Law School on March 23rd.
• testimony for the League of Women Voters of Pennsylvania at a Senate
  hearing on issues to consider regarding the possibility of holding a
  Pennsylvania Constitutional Convention on April 11, 2006 at Penn Law
  School.
• collection of the comparative registration and voting statistics for
  the November 2006 elections. Here are the numbers for how many were
  registered and how many actually voted.
