Website Update
Andrea Mulrine, Board Liaison
Jenn Bender, Webmaster

We would like to announce the new LWVPA website! The redesigned Web site was launched on September 15th – on schedule and in time for the election season. Please take some time to peruse the website.

A very special thank you to Olivia and Katherine for their many years of dedicated service to the management of our Web site. Going forward, Jenn will serve as the official LWVPA Web master. Andrea Mulrine will serve as the Board liaison and provide support as needed.

Here are some highlights:

  1. Take Action - Action Alerts sent out on the LWVPA Action Alert Network are posted. You may also sign up for the LWVPA Action Alert Network
  2. Issues & Positions - Where We Stand and information on the League’s positions
  3. Voter Information - The Statewide Voters Guide is posted as well as a Voting Frequently Asked Questions to assist voters in navigating the registration and voting process
  4. E-Library - Includes several LWVPA publications including the Citizen Poll Watcher’s Checklist and Taking Charge, A Guide to Registration and Voting in Pennsylvania
  5. Calendar - features important dates for voters and important League events
  6. Local Chapters - provides links to your local League websites.
  7. Members Resources - features mailings sent to the local League presidents including Post Board Summaries. Need to contact a LWVPA Board Member or Off-Board Specialist? Contact lists for both are available in this section. Making Your League Job Easier is available for viewing and download. Lists important dates and deadlines for local Leagues.
  8. Newsletter - the most current issue of the LWVPA Voter
  9. Secure Online Donations and Products – You can now donate online to the LWVPA or LWVPA-CEF as well as purchase a “VOTE” pin or place your order for the 2005 Legislative Directory.

If you would like to have:

  • your local League website linked to from the LWVPA website, or
  • contact information posted for your local League, or
  • your local League events posted on the Calendar

please send this information via email to Jenn at lwvpa@epix.net and type Website Update in the subject line.

There’s still more work to do, and new features to add. Web sites are always a “work in progress”, so keep checking for updates. And – let us know what you’d like to see there. This should be a tool for members as well a way to communicate with the general public.
